This hotel was perfect place for exploring Bangkok, liked it. There were comfy beds and a minibar, a personal safe and multi-channel television in the superior king room...

Good location, but I wish I'd read the reviews from previous guests more thoroughly.
Tiny, poorly maintained room, intermittent hot water, no outside window, inefficient air conditioning. One night was enough - never again.

The guestrooms at Sam's Lodge are cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a great sleep. I loved the air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, perfect for staying connected. The private bathroom with a refreshing shower was a nice touch. The 24-hour front desk was convenient, and the cable TV, minibar, and safety deposit box in the air-conditioned room added to the overall comfort. The TV with cable channels was a bonus too, keeping me entertained. The rainfall showerheads in the bathrooms were a pleasant surprise, adding to the luxurious feel.
Personally, I found the minibar in the room to be a bit limited.

Sam's Lodge is right in the heart of the city center. The Sukumvit soi Asoke Skytrain stop is less than 5 minutes walkn amine artery through the city, an escalater up to the station is very convenient if you have bags and want to travel by skytrain to the airport, or travel to and from Chatuchak weekend market. Also there are always taxis parked in the street outside the hotel on Soi 19. The Underground is also there and can take you to Fortune town, good for software and computer stuff, also goes to the Cultural center for shows or Chatuchak weekend market also. Opposite the hotel is a Mini mart. open 24 hours, great for buying drinks, snacks, phone SIM cards or minutes. Soi 19 is full of noodle stalls serving food all day and late into the night or a few minutes down the street is Robinsons Dept. store with a great food court and supermarket in the basement. There is a fridge and and a TV in the room, beds are comfy and there is a fan and A/C. The rooms look good. A nice affordable place to stay right in the center. Internet/Wifi is free, hot water and tea and coffee available in the hotel reception on the 2nd floor, friendly staff who are very helpful. A refreshing change from the hotels that overcharge for every single tiny thing. There are 5 floors in a Town house style building (Tall and thin) with a really nice little elevator. They are serious about no smoking rooms and do enforce it with a 2000 Baht fine. I really like this little hotel.
No Complaints at all, just a few observations. Showers are in the rooms no bathtubs, sometimes I like to soak in a tub. Some of the rooms could do with a bit of redecorating on the walls and ceilings. The building is quite old though. Sometimes it can be noisy in the street outside, usually things like dogs barking or people being loud as they pass by or stop to eat late into the night, but it doesn't last long and can be drowned out with the A/C or earplugs. I like this hotel as it isn't near any bars or nightclubs, Soi 19 is mostly businesses or small hotels, so no loud music, there is a huge construction site at the mouth of the soi but I never heard anything.

Hidden Gem: Sam's Lodge is a trully remarkable budget hotel in Bangkok situated in the centre of the bustling business and shopping areas. It's like discovering a hidden gem in the heart of the city, offering comfort and convenience that exceeds its affordable price tag.
Toilet Facilities: The only minor issue I encountered was with the toilet facilities. Some parts of the bathroom were in need of repair, with a broken railing and uneven tiles.
